04-15-2025 - Well Hello ! The 2025 incoming President, Jim Bob Koaster, has determined that since there is a groundswell of support for having more structured monthly meeting content, agrees and
also offering chance to return to awarding a "Model Of The Month" regularly. Here's a path to that !
As announced as a "Pilot Program" in BUZZ #133, this pathway currently planned to come to pass in two parts, " TOM and MOM ". TOM is Theme Of Month for the meeting, if you wish to compete for one of up to three cash awards. May possibly also get a bonus award "MOM" aka Model Of Month,
which will get a separate (addtional) cash award as well as illustrated coverage in news and on site
1) Theme Of Month will be given ahead of time in verbal form at the monthly Nest (meeting) along with published data in newsletter and also be maintained here on this site, as sub tab pages here
THIS CALENDAR will be the MAIN Focal Point, and maintained as such, so that if any confusion is to ensue, the Theme as outlined here for any month will be the final deciding factor to resolve issue
2) ONLY TOM participating entries will be considered eligible for MOM awarding. In other words, if no one decides to participate for Theme Of Month for any meeting, there wiil be no MOM awarded for that meeting.
3) WINNING TOM Award entries will currently be limited to UP TO THREE in any one month. But if only one or two or three show up, that's fine, the competition will be commenced and judgements rendered. Cash awards will be given accordingly so by the Sponsor, up to three places in a month.
4) ENTRIES in any one TOM competition currently limited to maximum 5 (FIVE) per individual, with NO REPEATS allowed. In other words, if you enter an unfinished WIP that fits for a theme in June,
you can't enter it finished for another theme, even if it may be suited for in say December that year.
5) WINNING TOM entries are not the sole potential awardees for MOM (Model Of Month), as the President may find merit in choosing another among eligible TOM competitors. However, they are
also not excluded by virtue of being a TOM winner, so potentially can gain the added cash award along with the prior one. Just be advised that a 1st, 2nd or 3rd TOM placing is not a guarantee as
a fourth entry may end up being deemed MOM winner, if President adjudges this is a fitting result.
6) TOM competitions are considered SEPARATE and DISTINCT from "CLUB CONTESTS" and so you may find that some months will feature those additional events. YOU ARE NOT PROHIBITED from
entry into a relevant "CLUB CONTEST" with a TOM entry by TOM & MOM rule # 4 here, for purposes of CLUB CONTESTING. No Repeats rule only applies to TOM & MOM, unless CLUB CONTEST rules
specifically outline otherwise. Just to make sure you can still have some fun with a pleasing model
